As the warmer weather is approaching, we all start planning trips for the year ahead. And if you are like me (if you read this, you should), Ibiza is definitely on the list.
Most of us want to enjoy good food and at a decent price whenever we travel, and occasionally select one or two "experience restaurants" that you must go to because they are popular.
Before moving to Ibiza, I used to want to go to all the famous places (££££) without knowing that you can have much better food with sometimes even better views without paying as much.
So, if you are going to Ibiza this summer and haven't checked out restaurants to go to, here is a list of some of my favourite:
Bar Anita (San Carlos) is a must for tapas and hierbas, it's one of the most popular places on the island amongst the locals. Nothing fancy here, but very good food and ambiance.
Talamanca Fish Shack has the most delicious fresh fish and sea food. What you need to know: bookings in advance are recommended, wear appropriate shoes as the "restaurant" is on a rocky cliff, and cash only.
Es Gerret (San Antonio) I've said it before and I'll say it again, I love this restaurant in Ibiza so much! Very nice interior design, feels cozy but elegant as well, the staff is very nice, food is excellent and the prices are reasonable. My favourite dessert is their pistachio cream with strawberries sorbet, olive oil and salt flakes 🤤
Balneario (Cala Carbo) Delicious fresh food and sea views? Yes, please! From start to finish, the food and service are great. I wouldn't say it's cheap but for the food you get, it's decent.
Can Jaume (Cala Vadella) Love love their gambas al ajillo, huge prawns soaked in delicious garlicky oil *starving just thinking about it.
Noiam Ibiza (Santa Eulalia) have a great atmosphere, most of the times live music (DJ or a band), very good food and the staff is the best.
I hope this gave you a little help in finding places where to eat in Ibiza, please do try at least one from this small list.
Until next time,
Ana
